Barça Ready for Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years following their departure for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside based on approved permits. When completed, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou on 7 November. Officials stated approval is being pursued by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
