Passionate supporters of Ariana Grande are urging that a man who jumped a barricade and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or removed from Singapore.

A viral footage shows the Australian man shoving aside media personnel and lunging at Grande while the cast walked down a event pathway flanked by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being taken in", though official papers revealed that he was set to be present on the next day. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

History of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram profile contains recordings of him disrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney show in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is evidently a legal violation," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Well-being

Many fans accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said a further message on Instagram.

Several fans also criticised event staff at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals demanded social media platforms to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande appeared startled when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Hundreds of Singapore fans had lined up to meet the cast of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore mall, including some who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be launched on November 21, is the second of a dual adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End production Wicked, which centers on the unexpected friendship between two contrasting witches.

The show itself is a adaptation of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, earning a pair for best costume and set decoration.
