The First Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Remains Committed.
Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the death bells for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a platform few have heard of. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform as a new development. Last year proved to be an era of significant turmoil for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that the green gaming company continues to plan to engage players with strong games on its key platform.
The Current Inclusions
A pair of titles you can play right now at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's deserving of attention.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Come mid-January, Game Pass will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that deviates from the standard Ubisoft formula with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of frights and fights."
Compelling Indie Titles
Yet, the less-hyped additions arriving shortly on the service are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, drops on Jan. 7th — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
In summary, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service alone. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. The lineup provides a solid mix of past releases that passed you by and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — rendering them ideal prospects to find a new audience on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
