The former president's Family Member Receives Expert Tips from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA Debut
The rising star has considerable social media following
Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent cheerleaders when she begins her professional golf debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to play at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, operates multiple international courses and frequently plays against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa practically told me to go out there and have fun," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with world affairs, so he's quite busy."
Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions recently and maintains the 461st position in AJGA standings.
However she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, who is dating her mother.
"He is the best player worldwide," the young golfer said.
"And he's an even better person. He suggested me to go out there, relax, following the flow."
The golfer will compete against several top competitors in professional golf at this tournament, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Officials commented that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to new audiences, particularly among youth audiences.
Kai has millions of followers and just introduced an exclusive fashion and living brand.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
